ok

didnt compress as much as Jpegminilite (original= 442kb, Compress= 341kb, jpgminilite = 318kb). Admitedly, this image was complex, but the degredation was very noticable when I tried moving the compression up a notch from the 341kb result. The result using Compress was a tad darker than the jpgminilite result too, which is concerning. I got the original jpeg just right, so to have a result thats just right, Id need to over lighten the image before using Compress on it.

I bought this app a month ago when it was first released and wrote a review on the App Store with a couple of feature requests. Within a couple weeks the developer released updates that added the features I requested. Awesome. Super useful app, and a developer that responds to customers requests.

I purchased this app today and upon using it, my compressed jpeg was distorted. I notified the support and they discovered that my file was corrupted. They fixed it using a repair app thats under development. I have the highest regard fro these guys, they dedicated and committed to their product. The app really works well for me. Im using it to email ad images. Great work guys.

I have to make maps for customers all day. Often my customers cannot accept large emails, Ive tried compression "zip" tools and even stuff like Dropbox but what I really needed was a way to compress images with minimum impact to readability. Compress has been a god send! This program is amazing and smiple. You just grab the picture, drag it to the icon and it compresses it. I routinely compress maps that are more than 10Meg down to less than 500k and they still are very readable. I never once read any documentation. It is crazy easy to use, VERY fast and works like a champ. Thanks for making exactly the program I needed.

Used it for about 15 minutes and its very impressive. very easy to use. App is very responsive doesnt use a lot of resources and works as adverties. Few minor UI tweaks and I would rate it a 6. I post a lot of small pictures online and this app is a lot easier to use then preview or lightroom. Great job

Good for batch Compression and the slider is useful the only thing I would love to see is a resolution slider if you want to resize the picture in conjuction with the compression. Untill then I use Automater Photo Shrink for the resolution scale then I use this app for the compression. If this gets an upgrade 5star rating here we come.

Had a Pages newsletter document (32MB) that I needed to compress for emailing. Had lots of pics in it. After unsuccessfully trying various means to get it compressed, I hopped on the App store looking for some help. Found this program and gave it a shot. I was able to quickly reduce the newsletter file size to 3 MB!!! And there really is NO appreciable difference in the photo quality for the newsletter. This was $5.99 well spent, for my purposes!

I just got a MacBook Air and it only has about 120 GB of storage, but I had about 16 GB of photos on it so I wanted to free up some memory. This app shrunk that down to less than 2 GB and there is zero loss of quality. I never thought this was possible. It seriously sounds too good to be true but it really works!

Possibly one of the most used programs in my arsenal for compressing images before uploading into Wordpress. If you are a Wordpress user you know that Wordpress has its limits on compression. It just cant seem to smush any of my HDR pictures from the iPhone correctly. This app solves that problem. Compression rates are huge with little to no loss in image quality which means your websites load fast!. Great app. HIghly recommend.

I came here to buy one and forget I already had this one. I only used it once when I first purchased it. This app is great I love it. It compressed my photo from 46.06 MB down to 1.75 MB and it’s still pretty sharp. I think this is something that will come in handy. Just don’t buy it and wait 3 years to rediscover it like I did.

Amazing compression capabilities

Great to optimize images for web design. The app is really fast and the preview is a very nice feature.

With Yosemite’s Preview app not actually compressing images now, I needed a way to do the job. Even if Preview wasn’t broken, I prefer Compress. I gives you a slider and displays what size ithe image will be and shows a preview Before and After. The batch processing works well, you just have to go the Compress folder, then drag the edited image to its desired location.

I need to whittle down the size of a lot of photographs on my web site but I absolutely do not want to make any compromises on the visual quality. The very first image that I compressed with this great utility more than paid for the price of the app. I’m a happy camper. Thanks to the programmer for this quality piece of workmanship.

Bought it to compress various files with the same name, in different location. The application could not do that, even if i tried proccessing the files individually. Granted, the app didn’t promise to do that, but still, I was unsatisfied with the limited saving capabilities. I feel I’ve wasted my money.

I bought this app to help with compressing screenshot images taken on a 5K retina iMac. They were ~10MB each and, after a few simple adjustments based on how much compression I wanted versus quality degradation, it compressed them and put them into a “Compress” folder within the original images folder. I take issue with the reviewer who gave one star based on it putting the new images in a separate folder in the same location as the original images. It’s an unfair review and hurts the quality impression of what I feel is a very good app. I have used it to compress over 100 images so far and it hasn’t crashed once nor have any of the images had any issues. This is exceptional software at its finest, well done developer.
